SoftDay is now available on the App Store

SoftDay is live. It is a recovery and habit support app built around the idea that small, consistent daily actions are what actually create lasting change. Here is what the first version contains and the thinking behind it.

Recovery is hard. Not just physically — the mental side of building new habits, staying consistent, and keeping a record of progress is often where people struggle most. SoftDay was built to make that process a little softer without making it less serious.

The app is designed for anyone working through a recovery period or trying to build healthier daily routines. It is calm, structured, and built to be used every day without feeling like a chore.

What is inside

The first release covers the full core of what SoftDay is built around: recovery plans, daily journaling, habit tracking, and structured routines.

  • Recovery plans — set up a structured plan with goals and milestones that match your specific situation.
  • Daily journal — a reflective journaling space to log how you are feeling each day, with prompts to guide your entry when you need them.
  • Habit tracking — add the habits you are working on and check them off each day. The app tracks your streaks to keep you motivated.
  • Daily routines — build morning or evening routines made up of steps you want to do consistently, day after day.
  • Reminders — gentle notifications to journal, complete your routine, or check in on your habits at the times that suit you.
  • Progress view — see your habit completion over time and watch your streaks grow across weeks and months.
  • PRO subscription — unlock extended history, additional journal prompts, and premium features with a free trial available on first sign-up.

The journal is the heart of SoftDay. It is not just a text box — it is a space designed to encourage honest daily reflection. Done consistently, even a few lines a day creates a record of real progress that you can look back on.

Who it is built for

SoftDay is for people who want a structured but gentle way to support themselves through a recovery or habit-building period. It does not require you to be in a formal programme — it works just as well for someone rebuilding energy after illness, working through anxiety, cutting out a bad habit, or simply trying to be more intentional about how they spend their days.

The design is deliberately calm. Soft purples and dark backgrounds, no loud notifications, no aggressive gamification. Progress feels good here, not pressured.

What comes next

The first version is the foundation. As real users engage with it day-to-day, we will learn what matters most and build from there. Features we are considering include mood tracking, richer statistics, integration with Apple Health, and community-inspired challenges.
