Privacy Policy (Slim Goal)

1. Introduction

Slim Goal ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle the personal health data you enter into the App, what information we collect, and your rights in relation to that data.

2. Information We Collect

A. Health & Body Data You Enter

• Weight entries, waist and other body measurements (chest, hips, upper arm, thigh, body fat), your goal, and any notes, reasons ("your why") or event you add are stored locally on your device only. We do not run servers that receive this data, and it is never sent to any third party.
• Progress photos — taken with the in-app camera or chosen from your photo library — are stored in the App's storage on your device. They are not uploaded or shared by us.
• If you turn on the optional photo lock, Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode is checked by iOS. Slim Goal never receives biometric data.

B. Apple Health (HealthKit)

• If you allow it, Slim Goal reads your body weight from Apple Health — including weights saved by smart scales and other apps, which can be imported in the background when new data arrives — and saves the weigh-ins you log in Slim Goal to Apple Health.
• Health data stays on your device and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy rules. It is never used for advertising and never shared with third parties.

C. Reminders, Notifications & Siri

• Reminders are scheduled on your device, and their messages are written on your device from your own data.
• If you log a weight by typing it into a notification, or with Siri or the Shortcuts app, it is processed and saved on your device. Siri voice requests are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

D. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

• The free version of Slim Goal shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect advertising identifiers, device information and usage data to serve and measure ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• In the UK and EEA you are asked for your consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Slim Goal → Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices.
• Buying Slim Goal Pro (a one-time purchase) removes all advertising.

E. Anonymous Usage Analytics (PostHog)

• We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to collect anonymous usage events — for example that a weigh-in was logged, which unit you use, which screens are opened, or which badge was unlocked — together with basic device and app-version information and a random identifier.
• These events never include your actual weights, measurements, photos, notes or name.
• If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may also share anonymous crash reports with us.

F. Backups & Exports

• Backups and CSV exports are files created on your device. You choose where to save or send them (for example iCloud Drive, the Files app or email). We never receive them.

G. No Account Required

• Slim Goal does not require an account. We do not collect your email address or any personal identifier linked to you. The optional first name you enter stays on your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the service: show your weight trend, goal progress, streaks, milestones, reminders and widgets — all calculated on your device.
• To serve ads (free version): allow Google AdMob to show and measure advertisements, in line with your consent choices.
• To improve the app: review anonymous usage analytics and crash reports to fix bugs and understand which features are used.
• Legal compliance: meet applicable regulatory and legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

• Google AdMob (free version only): advertising identifiers and device information are shared with Google for ad serving and measurement.
• PostHog: anonymous usage events as described in section 2E.
• Apple: in-app purchases, Apple Health and Siri are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect user safety.

We do not sell, rent or trade your health data or personal information to any third party for any purpose.

5. Data Retention

• Body & health data and photos: stored only on your device until you delete them (Settings → Delete all data) or delete the App.
• Anonymous usage analytics: kept only as long as needed to improve the App, then deleted.
• No personal health data is ever kept on our servers — we do not have servers that store your body data.

6. Data Security

• On-device storage: weight, measurement and photo data are stored using iOS file protection and stay on your device.
• Photo lock: you can protect your progress photos with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
• No cloud backup by us: we do not operate cloud storage for your data. Backup files you create, and iCloud Backup if you use it, are governed by where you store them and by Apple's policies.
• Network: advertising and analytics traffic uses TLS encryption.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Delete Your Data. Use Settings → Delete all data, or delete the App, to permanently remove everything Slim Goal stores on your device.

Revoke Apple Health Access. Go to the Settings app → Health → Data Access & Devices and remove Slim Goal's access at any time.

Ad Privacy Choices. In the UK and EEA, change your ad consent at any time in Slim Goal → Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices. You can also turn off ad tracking in the Settings app → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Back Up or Export Your Data. Use Settings → Back up now for a full backup you can restore later, or Export as CSV for a spreadsheet of your entries.

8. Third-Party Services

Slim Goal integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob & Google consent management — advertising in the free version. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog (EU) — anonymous usage analytics. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.
• Apple HealthKit — optional weight sync with Apple Health. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple StoreKit — the one-time Slim Goal Pro purchase. Governed by Apple's Terms and Privacy Policy.
• Siri & Shortcuts — optional voice and shortcut logging, handled by Apple.

9. Children's Privacy

Slim Goal is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child has submitted information, we will take steps to address this.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected — see Section 2 above.
• Know whether personal information is sold or disclosed — we do not sell it.
• Delete personal information — delete the App to remove all on-device data.
• Opt-out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information.

11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. Because we do not store your health data on any server, the primary means of exercising these rights is deleting the App or contacting us at info@domcreator.co.uk with "GDPR Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting the revised policy on this page and within the app.
