Privacy Policy (Slim Goal)

1. Introduction

Slim Goal ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle the personal health data you enter into the App, what information we collect, and your rights in relation to that data.

2. Information We Collect

A. Health & Body Data You Enter

  • Weight entries, waist measurements, goal weight, and body measurements you log inside the App are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
  • Progress photos you add are stored in the App's local storage on your device. They are not uploaded, shared, or backed up by us.

B. Apple HealthKit

  • If you grant permission, Slim Goal reads your weight data from Apple Health to pre-fill log entries. This data remains on your device and is governed by Apple's HealthKit privacy policies.
  • We do not write data to HealthKit or share HealthKit data with any third party, including advertisers.

C. Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

  • Slim Goal displays ads via Google AdMob on the free tier. Google may collect advertising identifiers, device information, and usage data to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Ads are shown only on free accounts. Subscribing to Slim Goal Pro removes all advertising.

D. Crash Reports & Analytics

  • Anonymous crash reports and usage metrics may be collected to diagnose bugs and improve app stability. No body measurements, weight data, or personal identifiers are included in these reports.

E. No Account Required

  • Slim Goal does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifier linked to your usage.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the service: Display your weight trend, goal progress, milestones, and streak entirely on-device.
  • To serve ads (free tier): Allow Google AdMob to display relevant advertisements.
  • To improve the app: Review anonymous crash reports to fix bugs.
  • Legal compliance: Meet applicable regulatory and legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • Google AdMob (free tier only): Advertising identifiers and device information are shared with Google for ad serving.
  • Apple: In-app purchase and subscription management is handled by Apple. Apple's privacy policy governs that data.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect user safety.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your health data or personal information to any third party for any purpose.

5. Data Retention

  • Body & health data: Stored only on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. Deleting the App removes all data permanently.
  • Crash logs: Retained in anonymous form for up to 90 days, then deleted.
  • No personal health data is ever retained on our servers — we do not have servers that store your body data.

6. Data Security

  • On-Device Storage: All weight, measurement, and photo data is stored using iOS secure file storage and never leaves your device.
  • No Cloud Backup by Us: We do not operate cloud backup of your health data. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple's security and privacy policies govern that backup.
  • Advertising: Ad network communications use TLS/SSL encryption.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Delete Your Data. Delete the App to permanently remove all data stored by Slim Goal from your device.

Revoke HealthKit Access. Go to Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices and remove Slim Goal's access at any time.

Limit Ad Tracking. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable ad tracking for Slim Goal.

Export Your Data. Use the CSV export feature in Settings to take a copy of your logged data at any time.

8. Third-Party Services

Slim Goal integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob — advertising (free tier). See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple HealthKit — optional weight data sync. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple StoreKit — subscription management. Governed by Apple's Terms and Privacy Policy.

9. Children's Privacy

Slim Goal is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child has submitted information, we will take steps to address this.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information is collected — see Section 2 above.
  • Know whether personal information is sold or disclosed — we do not sell it.
  • Delete personal information — delete the App to remove all on-device data.
  • Opt-out of the sale of personal information — we do not sell personal information.

To exercise these rights, contact info@domcreator.co.uk with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line.

11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. Because we do not store your health data on any server, the primary means of exercising these rights is deleting the App or contacting us at info@domcreator.co.uk with "GDPR Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting the revised policy on this page and within the app.
