1. Data We Collect

We may collect:

• Account data: email address, display name, and profile photo if you sign in with Google.
• Activity data: steps, distance, calories, active time, floors, streaks, goals, and related history.
• Health Connect data (optional): step, distance, and calorie records you allow StepZeno to read.
• Subscription data: subscription status, product/plan identifiers, and purchase state from Google Play Billing.
• App settings and preferences: units, goals, reminders, theme/palette choices, onboarding/setup choices.
• Analytics data: app usage events and basic device/app diagnostics (via Firebase Analytics).

2. How We Use Data

We use data to:

• Provide core features, including live tracking and history views.
• Personalize your experience, goals, and insights.
• Enable PRO access and subscription management.
• Improve reliability, app performance, and product decisions.
• Detect abuse and protect app security.

3. Legal Bases (where applicable)

Depending on your location, we process data under one or more of these bases:

• Your consent (for example, Health Connect access).
• Performance of a contract (providing app features you request).
• Legitimate interests (improving app quality and preventing abuse).
• Legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data with:

• Google Play Billing (subscription and purchase processing).
• Firebase services (authentication and analytics).
• Health Connect platform (only for data access you authorize).

We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect legal rights and safety.

5. Data Storage and Retention

• Much of your data is stored locally on your device (for example, local app database and preferences).
• Account/subscription/auth and analytics data may be processed by Google/Firebase services.
• We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.

6. Health Data

• Health Connect access is optional.
• You control Health Connect permissions at the OS/Health Connect level.
• You can revoke access anytime in Health Connect settings.
• If access is revoked, StepZeno will stop importing Health Connect data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, restrict, or object to processing.

In-app options include:

• Sign out from your account.
• Reset local data on device.
• Disable reminders and permissions.
• Cancel subscription via Google Play subscriptions.

8. Children's Privacy

StepZeno is not directed to children under 13 (or higher minimum age where required locally). We do not knowingly collect data from children in violation of applicable law.

9. International Processing

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. If changes are material, we will update the "Last Updated" date and provide notice where required.
